Vorsichtig.AI is a framework that provides guidance for the process of implementing or improving the use of AI in a small business.
This framework is currently under active development; the author is Norbert Bollow.
Vorsichtig.AI differs from other similar frameworks by taking a more cautious stance in using AI without trusting the reliability of its outputs. The word “vorsichtig” in the name of the framework is German for “cautious”.
Cautious action is very different from fear-driven inaction or procrastination.
In fact, when you look at the overall speed of producing the desired results, cautious action is often faster than a less cautious approach.
The process of implementing or improving the use of AI in a small business is best divided into a sequence of projects, where each project has a well-defined objective. Of course, it sometimes happens during the work on a project, as more understanding of the whole situation is gained, that the insight emerges that it will be better to change the objectives of the project. I consider it acceptable to discuss and agree on a change of a project’s objectives at any stage of the project. However, a lack of clearly defined project objectives, so that nobody really knows whether or when the project’s objectives have been achieved, is not acceptable.
Unless you have taken that step already, your AI journey with me starts with an AI readiness assessment. That is a small project at the end of which we will not only know what are the areas and purposes in your business where it will make sense to implement or improve the use of AI, and what benefits of doing so can reasonably be expected, but also how ready the organisation is for the implementation of AI and whether perhaps other steps should be taken first.
If that sounds like a reasonable next step for you, please schedule a conversation, so that we can discuss this opportunity.
In any case, given that you are interested enough in this topic to be still reading at the bottom of this page :), please consider subscribing to my thoughtsletter on AI and small business.
Wishing you a good acceleration,
